Fasal, an Artificial Intelligence (Al) powered loT platform, removes the guesswork and manual methods of most farmers today who are working in isolation to make critical crop related decisions by providing them with data and analytics to grow better. Fasal has a sensor device which sits on the farm and monitors critical climatic parameters like humidity, temperature, rainfall, leaf wetness, soil moisture, etc. The data is uploaded to the Fasal cloud platform where Al engine analyses the data and makes the prediction about micro-climate, diseases, and pests. The farmers can see the condition of the farm anytime on their mobile. They also get notified directly on their devices about disease spread and have an option to take actions.
Fasal is attempting to solve two biggest pain points affecting the farmers in the current scenario. They being crops dying due to pests and diseases and the second being uncertain climate which affects crop yield extensively as years pass by. They solve for them by sensing data directly from the field and making predictions of the field’s micro-climate as well as possible disease and pest developments allowing farmers to prevent outbreaks instead of reacting when the diseases have happened. The team plans to focus on adding more disease predictions to their offering along with market expansion.
